Head over to the Elemental Training Center’s blog to see this year’s results from the Wild Iris 5K, 10K, and 20K Mountain Run. I wasn’t running this year but made it up there during the race.
There was a huge line of cars parked up there for it! More than I’ve ever seen. Was it all for the race? Or was it for Brian Barrett on the grill for the Mountain Hardware sponsored breakfast that brought the masses? Either way.. good times.

JoeKindKid – “…We took a little trip to Lander for the International Climber’s Festival. It was a quick in and out trip. But a great little stint. Events are one of the best places to meet up with the ‘Fam’ and see friends…”
My Climbing Life – “…It just so happens that Leif Gasch was at the rodeo wall along with the now infamous Ronnie Jenkins, the sicky gnar gnar FiveTen rep. I found my first project Atomic Cow a 13d.”
The Adventures of EZ – “Hey all, this is EZ, the Rocky Mountain sales rep and I just got home from my rounds around Wyoming and my first ICF event…”
Lloyd Climbing Blog – “…Three days of Wild Iris sport climbing, a session at the Cabin Boulders, two climbing slideshows, four International Climbers’ Festival competitions, a tour of the Source, a windy session at Motown, and an 18 mile boulder scouting hike…”
The NOLS Blog – “…A trade show in City Park kicked off the weekend and gave us NOLSies a chance to display our backcountry cooking prowess.”
The Traveling Circus – “Are you ever in a situation where you think to yourself, Boy, am I lucky. I couldn’t have planned this any better! Well, in Lander, Wyoming we found ourselves in such a situation.”
Thanks for repping the festival on y’alls blogs! Even if one of you didn’t even know you were coming. I’m looking at you, traveling circus…

As long as the International Climbers Festival has been around there have been NOLSies involved on all levels.. from speakers, and clinics, to members of the board and volunteers too. Kyle Duba, local climber and NOLS Video Producer, put this video together for the NOLS blog with some of the footage coming from NOLS instructor, and ICF board member Brian Fabel. Thanks for the video guys!
Also, big thanks to NOLS and WMI for being major festival partners this year!

I have to say, that was the most exciting Dyno Comp in recent memory! Good crowd, great music, greatest beer. Thank you to all the competitors and thanks to Bomber Holds and New Belgium Brewery! Rojos Calientes tore it up after the comp too, starting off with a bluegrass Pearl Jam cover. What a night!
