The International Climbers’ Festival Board of Directors have selected Brian Fabel of Lander, Wyoming to coordinate efforts of this year’s event taking place July 11-15, 2012.

“Brian’s passion for the festival and recent service during a 2-year term on the Board of Directors made him the right person for the position,” said Board President Matt Sissman. ”We are confident the festival is going to see renewed growth and excitement under his leadership as the Director.”

Brian also works for NOLS Professional Training as their Marketing Coordinator and has helped organize and run the Wilderness Risk Management Conference.

Chris Marley Awarded ‘FA’ Medal for War Tactics

by Climbers' Festival on October 5, 2010

General Chris Marley was awarded the Medal of First Ascent today, for his work on War Tactics. With the calculated precision of a U.S. Air Force MQ-9 Reaper Drone, Marley crimped his way into the history books. Privates’ Duba and Hensien were there to document the field of battle. Good work out there men. You are securing Sinks Canyon bouldering for the next generation. In other news, combat operations in Sinks Canyon and Wild Iris will continue as the sending temps, and troop morale, remain high.
